Mabili has a long history of engaging, developing, and empowering talent across global markets.
Founded in 1998 as an executive search and reward practice, we specialised in placing teams and C-suite leaders in the USA, the Middle East, Africa and South Africa. We pioneered the sought-after Annual Directors' Report, compiling publicly available remuneration data in South Africa, a trusted resource for business leaders. Along the way, we won recognition as the Most Acclaimed Executive Search Organisation in South Africa.
By 2012, the recruitment landscape began shifting, with technology enabling in-house hiring. We evolved into a recruitment enablement solutions provider, offering video interview platforms, applicant tracking systems, learning management systems, and game-based assessments to help organisations hire more effectively.
In 2017, we discovered a learning management system with live virtual class integration, a turning point that inspired our move into digital learning.
By 2018, we launched the first online school in South Africa, scaling to approximately 8,000 students. At the time it was the largest online school globally. We successfully exited the venture to private equity in 2023.
In 2024, we embraced the SFIA Framework and partnered with SkillsTX, recognising the global potential of Skills-Based Organisations, skills data analytics, and AI task roles for digital employees.
Today, we bring together decades of expertise in talent strategy and acquisition, technology innovation, and large-scale implementation, helping organisations adopt skills-based frameworks to future-ready their workforce and align talent with business goals.
